One of the professional accomplishments about which I am most proud is the development of my robust mediation practice. I did not set out to be a mediator.  Several attorneys came to me about 10 years ago and asked me to fill a need which I was happy to do. Since then, my mediation practice has grown to a point where I am actively mediating hundreds of cases each year across the States of Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska.  

I consider myself to be a lawyer’s lawyer. I sincerely enjoy the collegiately of the profession with my colleagues that I have developed over my 34 years in practice.  More importantly, I simply like people. Thus, having my colleagues entrust their clients and cases to me to assist them with acknowledging the strengths, recognizing the weaknesses and avoiding the inherent risks, stress and uncertainties of litigation to arrive at a mutually beneficial resolution is extremely rewarding.  As an attorney with an active trial practice, I firmly believe that my real-world experience with Juries and Judges brings an added element to what I have to offer.
