“It was a privilege and honor to be selected to place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider at Arlington Cemetery in Washington D.C. along with other members of the Sioux City Sottish Rite. My family has served in the military for over 65 years. We served in the Air Force along with the Army, and are serving in the Marine Corp. We served in WWII, Viet Nam, and the Global War on Terrorism including Desert Storm and Afghanistan. As an active Veteran and one who supports and helps other Veterans, this honor and privilege was deeply personal and represented a public means for us to show our respect and gratitude for all those Veterans who are laid to rest at Arlington. It also symbolized our respect and gratitude to all those Veterans laid to rest in this Country and throughout the world. We hope what we did will be a sign and message to future generations to always remember and honor all Veterans.” ~ Rene L.
